Fine white coral sand runs right around the island, creating 3.40km of beautiful beach. The surrounding lagoon is an azure blue, perfect for snorkeling, swimming or for a lazy sailing trip in the afternoon.

Palmbeach Maldives or hotel Palmbeach island is located in Lhaviyani Atoll and is one of the biggest islands in Maldives, long almost 2 km and wide 400 meters. The 4km of white sand beach which surround the island are really exceptional, accompanied by luxuriant vegetation.

In developing Palm Beach Island as your ideal holiday destination, our top priority has been to leave this awesome natural beauty as undisturbed and untouched as possible. Local tourism regulations allow development of 20 percent of the island. But we have stuck to just 6.48 percent, leaving most of the island as it is – for your optimal enjoyment of its natural blessings.

On the north tip of the island, a spectacular sandbank lengthening towards the sea allows you to enjoy the sunset. Around the island there is a huge lagoon, and the level of the water is lower on the east side. Near to the external side of the atoll, Palm Beach Resort has a reef reachable by swimming from the east side beaches, but the area offers better snorkeling points, and some free snorkeling trips are organized. The island is reachable by seaplane in around 40 minutes via a scenic seaplane ride.

Walk beneath the tall palm trees, their tops heavy with coconuts, the large screw pines with their red and orange fruits, meander through the tropical trees, rest beneath the shade of the umbrella-like age old banyan trees. Situated in a strategic position in the central edge of the atoll, the Diving School in Palm Beach offers you the excellent opportunity to discover the best of the famed Maldivian dive sites. The local and international diving instructors at the Dive Center are multilingual and have logged several dives in the Maldivian waters - giving the skill and experience to guide you to the best that the Maldivian underwater has on offer.

The service is personalized and the dive boats are clean and comfortable. Diving excursions are made on these boats to the excellent dive sites found within the atoll. The boats will take you to where the Manta Rays and the friendly shark dwell, and where the coral reef gardens are the most colorful.

If you would prefer sticking close to the island, the house reef itself offers you the perfect solution with its beautiful coral gardens and rich marine life.
