Terms and Conditions
Booking Terms, Conditions, Cancellation Policy,
Declaimer and Liability
These conditions set out the terms that apply for all bookings
made with Vermillion International Pvt Ltd (hereafter known
as “us” or “we”).
This site is offered to you, the client, on the condition of your
acceptance without modification of all terms, conditions, and
notices contained herein. These must be read in conjunction with the
information and advice, itineraries, rates and supplements provided
by us with every reservation made with us, as well as any package
holiday we provide. Any other terms will be communicated to clients
prior to the confirmation of bookings in writing.
Responsibility :
You must be of legal age (over 18 years) to create binding legal
obligations that may cause liability on your part as a result of
purchases made on this site. You accept full financial
responsibility for all purchases made on this site.
Surcharges :
Our rates are based on Room only, Breakfast Half board, Full Board
or All-inclusive basis accommodation. Transfer rates are per person
return transfer (Airport to Resort and Resort to Airport). All
transfers will be made only from the Airport Island unless otherwise
stated or confirmed. All prices are quoted in United States dollars
and any fluctuations of prices due to government action or other
similar cause may result in a surcharge being imposed.
Credit card payment :
We will immediately charge your credit card 100% of the amount
your reservation represents as soon as we receive the relevant
documents, including; written authorization and a photocopy of the
credit card and your passport on the completed form.
The aforementioned documents are required in the Maldives to accept
credit card payments offline. Please check the booking terms,
conditions and cancellation policy before making payment
Your rights if we cancel :
We undertake to inform you without delay if we cancel your
reservation and will offer you an alternative of at least a
comparable standard (if one is available) or a full refund of the
deposit within 21 days. We will take all reasonable steps to ensure
that your accommodation is available on your arrival. However, if we
are aware of it being overbooked before the time of your departure
we will inform you and offer you an alternative of at least equal
standard (if available) or a full refund of the payment. If we are
unaware of the overbooking at the time of your departure then we
will offer appropriate compensation, if the alternative
accommodation offered is substandard to the accommodation originally
booked.
Our liability to you :
We accept responsibility for ensuring that the services we deliver
to you are of the highest standard possible.
Personal injury :
We accept responsibility for the negligent acts and errors of our
employees. We cannot, however, be held responsible for any other
circumstances that lead to the death, bodily injury or illness of
you or any other individual.
Client service :
If you have a complaint or are unhappy with the services provided,
please make it known as soon as possible, either to the management
of the accommodation, the guide or directly to us. Please provide
the fullest details as early as possible. Every effort will be made
to arrive at a fair and satisfactory conclusion for the best of all
involved.
Your deposit :
Once a reservation is confirmed, we will charge you a non-refundable
minimum fee of USD 100.00, as an administration charge. This amount
will be deducted from the total amount for your holiday. We need
100% of the total amount as a deposit for groups of 12 and above
Payment :
We require payment in full after confirmation or at least 30 days
before your arrival. You can pay with your credit card, using a wire
transfer to move the total amount to our bank account or send us
payment via Western Union Money Transfer.
We accept Visa and MasterCard under the condition that you supply us
with a photocopy of your passport and a credit card authorization
form, both to be sent to us via fax.
For bookings made less than 30 days before arrival, full payment
must be made immediately. If you cancel your reservation, your
payment is subject to cancellation charges. Please check the
relevant cancellation charge for your particular reservation before
you confirm any bookings, as different hotels impose different
cancellation charges and may also vary depending on the time of
year.
Normal cancellation
made by you :
We accept any confirmed cancellation of a reservation. Such a
cancellation is effective on the day it is received by us. The
client will be notified of the acceptance of the cancellation. The
cancellation policy applies to all reservations and is your (the
client’s) duty to be aware of any applicable cancellation charges.
These policies will take precedence over the policy stated below.
Generally, cancellation charges are as follows:
Cancellations received less than 21 days before arrival – 20% of
the total package/value of the invoice.
Cancellations received less than 14 days before arrival – 50% of the
total package/value of the invoice.
Cancellations received less than 10 days before arrival – 75% of the
total package/value of the invoice.
Cancellations received less than 7 days before arrival – 100% of the
total package/value of the invoice.
* There will always be an administrative charge of 10% of the total
amount, if you cancel a reservation, in addition to the cancellation
charge (if applicable).
Important :
In the Maldives, different resorts follow different cancellation
policies and charges vary at different periods of the year.
During Christmas and New Year, the cancellation charge is 100%, for
cancellations within 30 days of arrival. Once again, please make
sure you are aware of the cancellation charge for your particular
reservation before you confirm it with us. We reserve the right to
make any appropriate charges to our clients directly.
Late bookings :
If required, we can accept booking requests as late as 6 hours
before arrival. The client must already have booked all flights
prior to the late reservation.
Changes by you :
If the requested change of a confirmed booking is made more than 14
days before departure and is accepted by us, we reserve the right to
charge an administration fee of up to USD$ 30 per booking, plus any extra charges resulting from the change of booking. In any other case, the request will be treated, at our discretion, as a cancellation.
Extension of Stay / Amendments or Cancel:
In case you would like to extend your stay, you must contact us immediately to extend. Please note that any Extension(s) you made without our confirmation direct with the Hotel are not covered by us.
All amendments & cancellation must be sent via email reservation@vermillionmaldives.com or by fax +960 3334631 and such will be ONLY valid if you receive an email from us confirming the same. This does not mean that the requested amendment or cancellation is made unless we confirm such change. Action will be taken and status with details including any charges, either positive or negative will be notified, soonest possible.
Check In Procedure / Hotel Voucher :
Once the booking is confirmed and when we receive FULL Payment, we will provide you with a confirmation Voucher. Please print the Voucher and present this and your Passport to Hotel reception on arrival at the time of check-in.
Transfers :
All transfer Rates are quoted per person ( Airport/Resort/Airport) by local Motor Boat called Dhoni,
Fast Boat, Speed boat or Seaplane and are combined/group transfer rates (Not Individual private transfers) & guests may have to wait at Airport to join other passengers or may have to leave earlier than checkout time depending the schedule of the transfers.
Also depending weather or other such natural cause transfers may be upgraded to Seaplane or downgraded and any such downgrade will be refunded.
Seaplane's fly between 06:00hrs to 16:00hrs. Guests arriving after 16:00hrs on any International
flight & guests with departure flights leaving before 09:00hrs have to stay First & Last night in Male'.
Luggaage allowance for Seaplane transfer is 25Kg per pax. Excess will be charged USD2 per Kg.
Seaplanes will not fly if the weather is bad. Clients are to bear all expenses (extension or any such)
Insurance :
You are recommended to ensure, when making your reservation that you
and your party are insured against all relevant risks, including all
locations and places you intend to visit throughout your holiday in
the Maldives.
Literature and
Brochures :
We have taken every reasonable precaution to ensure that the
information provided by us is fair and correct at the time it was
supplied, and that the facilities are available as described for
each resort or vessel. However, as we do not own the accommodation,
we exclude liability for subsequent alterations and the withdrawal
and amendment of facilities (whether due to climatic conditions,
vandalizing or abuse, cleaning, repair or legal, regulatory,
seasonal or other local reasons).
Third party
exclusions :
Transportation and accommodation of clients are subject to
international conventions, which override any contract, expressed or
implied between our clients and us.
We cannot be held liable if any client is refused admission into the
Republic of the Maldives.
The possession of valid passports, and/or other required travel
documents, such as airline tickets and hotel vouchers at the proper
time, is the sole responsibility of the client.
Liability for the failure of any client to observe the law of the
Maldivian Government during a visit is excluded. We will not be held
responsible for any delay in transferring of clients or any other
delay under such circumstances.
Dietary requests :
We are not liable for the failure to meet dietary requirements,
unless these were clearly stated when booking.
We strongly urge everyone to read and agree with the terms and
conditions before making any reservation through Vermillion Travels.
If you disagree with the Booking Terms and Conditions in any way,
please inform us before confirming any reservations with us.
Similarly, we reserve the right to change the Terms and Conditions
at anytime. Your continued use of the Vermillion website, or receipt
of such changes by email or in writing, following the posting of
changes to these Terms and Conditions constitutes your binding
acceptance of these changes.
DISCLAIMER THE SERVICES AND MATERIALS ON THE SITE ARE PROVIDED
"AS IS." TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMISSIBLE PURSUANT TO APPLICABLE
LAW, WE, AND OUR PARTNER HOTELS, PROVIDERS OR DISTRIBUTORS, DISCLAIM
ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
(1) IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR
PURPOSE, AND TITLE TO ANY OF THE SERVICES AND MATERIALS PROVIDED ON
THE SITE; (2) ANY WARRANTIES THAT THE FUNCTIONS CONTAINED IN THE
SERVICES AND MATERIALS WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE, THAT
DEFECTS WILL BE CORRECTED, OR THAT THE SITE OR THE SERVER THAT MAKES
IT AVAILABLE ARE FREE OF VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS; (3)
ANY WARRANTIES REGARDING THE USE, OR RESULTS OF THE USE, OF THE
SERVICES AND MATERIALS ON THE SITE IN TERMS OF THEIR CORRECTNESS,
ACCURACY, RELIABILITY, TIMELINESS, OR OTHERWISE. YOU ALONE ASSUME
ANY AND ALL COSTS ARISING IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE SITE.
APPLICABLE LAW MAY NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OF IMPLIED WARRANTIES, SO
THE ABOVE EXCLUSIONS MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.
LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
WITHOUT LIMITING THE GENERALITY OF ANY LIMITATION OF LIABILITY SET
FORTH IN VERMILLION’S WEB SITE RULES AND REGULATIONS, VERMILLION AND
THE SERVICE PROVIDERS ASSUME NO RESPONSIBILITY, AND SHALL NOT BE
LIABLE FOR, ANY DAMAGES TO, OR VIRUSES THAT MAY INFECT YOUR COMPUTER
EQUIPMENT OR OTHER PROPERTY ON ACCOUNT OF YOUR ACCESS TO, USE OF, OR
BROWSING IN THIS SITE OR YOUR DOWNLOADING OF ANY MATERIALS, DATA,
TEXT, IMAGES, VIDEO OR AUDIO FROM THE SITE. IN NO EVENT SHALL
VERMILLION OR ANY SERVICE PROVIDER BE LIABLE FOR ANY INJURY, LOSS,
CLAIM, DAMAGE, OR ANY SPECIAL, EXEMPLARY, PUNITIVE, INDIRECT,

NON-PERFORMANCE BY VERMILLION OR ANY SERVICE PROVIDER, EVEN IF SUCH
PARTY HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF DAMAGES TO SUCH PARTIES
OR ANY OTHER PARTY. SOME COUNTRIES AND US STATES DO NOT ALLOW
LIMITATION OF LIABILITY, SO THE FOREGOING LIMITATION MAY NOT APPLY
TO YOU. By using this site, you signify your binding agreement to
these Terms. Vermillion Travels reserve the right, at our sole
discretion, to change, modify, add, or remove portions or all of
terms and conditions at any time. Please check these Terms and
Conditions periodically for changes.
Your continued use of the Vermillion website, or receipt of such
changes by email or in writing, following the posting of changes to
these Terms and Conditions constitutes your binding acceptance of
these changes. Further, we may change any or all content on the
Site, including, but not limited to, products, programs, and/or
services described on or offered through the Vermillion website,
without prior notice and without liability.
